Dr. Balazs Feher

Balazs Feher is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine as well as a Senior Scientist and Lecturer at the Medical University of Vienna. His clinical research concentrates on the application of data science and artificial intelligence in oral surgery, while his preclinical research focuses on bone regeneration and the role of osteocytic signaling. He teaches oral surgery at the graduate and postgraduate levels.

Feher is an invited Contributor to the ITU/WHO/WIPO Global Initiative on Artificial Intelligence for Health (Topic Group Dentistry, Subtopic Oral Surgery) as well as an elected Junior Committee Member of the European Association for Osseointegration. In 2018, he was awarded the European Prize for Research in Implant Dentistry. In 2022, he was awarded the Osteology Research Scholarship to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He holds a D.M.D. and a Ph.D. from the Medical University of Vienna, where he also habilitated and earned the venia docendi in dental medicine.
